Josh Narvai | Graduate Assistant Coach
Josh Narvaiz is entering his second season as a graduate assistant with the Lubbock Christian University baseball team after two successful playing seasons with the Chaps that included back-to-back appearances in the NCAA South Central Regional.
Transferring to LCU for his junior and senior seasons, Narvaiz played infield for the Chaps in 2016 and 2017, posting a career on-base percentage of .333 with exactly 50 hits, including 13 doubles and three triples. He started 51 games in 2017 as the Chaps won the Heartland Conference regular season title and second straight regional appearance.
Prior to joining Lubbock Christian, Narvaiz played for some different Chaparrals at Midland College. While at his junior college, he combined to appear in 112 games over the 2014 and 2015 seasons. In 2015, he hit .369 with eight homers, 52 RBI and 48 runs. He hit .335 in 54 games as a freshman (2014) with 36 RBI and 45 runs scored. He ranked in the top-50 in the NJCAA in sacrifice flies (44th with 5).
A Lubbock native, Narvaiz was an All-South Plains (Lubbock AJ) selection at Second Base in 2012 for Lubbock’s Coronado High School, where he participated in the UIL State Tournament. His father, Mike, also played at Lubbock Christian.
